Had a bit of a drag race with a 6L V8 VE HSV Senator last night was orsome he only went faster in 1st gear after that for the next 2 gears i kept right up with him i was only just behind him after 1st gear, after driving past he looked at me like WTF. That was a cool moment, V8s arn't that fast and my car has like no mods to speak of except a little exhaust mod, was just a nice cool night Cool its the first time i have driven the car on a cold night, the difference in power is really noticable

EDIT: anyone else with stock or near stock car had any good drag racing?

My mate owns a VE SS with aftermarket exhaust system. He got me off the line, and i pulled him in and stuck with him. I didn think i did too bad considering i bogged down off the line and was running standard boost on first turbo...

yeh i thought the newer v8s would be fast since they have like 100nm more torque and 70kw more power but only 200kg heavier and manuals very disappointing on their count i recon we would win with manuals i recon

the only car that ive had a go with is an old TX3 turbo....lol

was at the lights and he starts revving at me.....needless to say i put about 5 car lengths on him by 60km/h

then a few weeks ago i drove my twincam corolla to work and on the way home i had some guy and his bf in and s15 silvia revving at me off the lights....i though "what the hell" and went with him

i bogged down hardcore in first but managed to catch him and stick with him till 60k's then i backed off and he kept going.....dunno what he was running....not sure if it was turbo or not

i love my rolla....good old 4age, good for 7.5k

Fuck the warranty mate...... Smiley

Spare engines/turbos/gearboxes are getting a lot easier and cheaper to pick up.

How could you possibly wait that long without boosting it. I've got a bleed T you can have, I'll even fit it for you for free.

Either that or never mention not boosting it again Smile
