Does anyone know if they make an aftermarket strut brace for the aristo. I have searched google but all i can find is factory/stock ones. I need a different style as the studs are too short on my coilovers for the factory one to fit. Am trying to avoid grinding my strut brace

http://www.nengun.com/carbing/tower-bar

Although I do not know why you would bother replacing the stock bar?

As in you don't think a strut brace is required? My stock one doesn't work with my coilovers

they would have to be pressed in i think requiring coilovers to be removed. I figured it might be cheaper just to buy a new brace

$15 worth of studs or $300 worth of brace? Up to you though..

You will struggle to get a brace that is near as good as the stock one..

I thought that the coilies will need to be removed, the studs replaced and then the coilovers refitted, resulting in quite alot of labour and hence cost. I suppose the other option is to try and modifiy the factory brace brackets for it to fit

Coilovers literally fall out when you have it jacked up and the top three and single lower bolts removed.

When I bought my HSD coilovers brand new, and found the studs were too short, they insisted they weren't, and that no one else had the same problem.

So, I sent them a pic, and soon after had some 10mm longer studs sent to me.

I have no idea why coilover manufacturers can't get it right in the first place.

I might try this although stud price is tiny, the hassle of pulling them out is annoying

You should be able to remove the studs without removing the other bolts.

Just keep two with nuts on at a time then use a hammer to knock the other stud out.
