if you can find which pin the maf is on the ecu, you can run a multimeter on that pin, then on the corresponding pin of the maf plug, put the multimeter on continuity and that will tell you if the wire has a break in it......does the car run fine if you just unplug the MAF??
you checked the spark plugs, you say it sounds like a misfire, maybe it is....
i have a uzz31 (1uz v8 model soarer) and i think the maf is fooked in that, every once in a while wen i start it, it will 'misfire' but if i unplug the maf, its fine.......then once its been running for 30secs or so, ill re-connect it and it will be fine! try that.....cud try a new ecu, but its not very likely for your ecu to just shit itself!! (although thats how electronics usually go) _________________
