There is a quite a bit of info now re towing with an aristo. Search isnt the best though.

From what I understand the chassis does not extend to the rear of the aristo. You will just have to attach the tow bar under the boot area, but not ont he chassis. This can make the rear end of the car 'fold'. Most professionals don't recommend towing a car.

It seems anything less then a tonne should be okay. Is your s13 and trailer under a tonne.

I have seen a aristo at WSID towing a drift car before. Think it was a HPI car actually?

an aristo isn't really a "tow" car, as the turbo configuration is designed for smooth constant power which isn't going be the best for the towing setup. you will be on boost (first turbo) the entire time which won't be particularly good for it.

to be honest, buy a diesel. sure they're slow but can't be beaten for towing with reliability.
this is just my opinion though.

Ive looked into this recently as i also have been wanting to tow my other car but would require a Heavy duty towbar to do so (2100kg car and trailer)

Ive been to 2 different towbar places for quotes, the first said they had looked at an Aristo before and decided they couldnt do it due to the lack of mounting points under the car.

The 2nd said they could do it but would cost around $1000 and they wanted to know what the towing capacity for the car is as none of their books listed the Aristo or GS300 of that year. They would only do it if i could get in writing that the Aristo is capable of towing 2100kg for legal reasons.

I searched the net for an hour and could not find the Aristo towing capacity. I called Toyota and they said they had no idea..

So all in all it goes in the 'too hard basket'..

If you wanted to tow a 6x4 with some bark chips in it, a light duty towbar can and has been done but thats about it Sad

My aristo has a tow bar on it when I got it but I took it off and sold it for $100 because it didnt fit the theme Im going for with the car
It was bolted up under the bumper using the exhaust hook mounts
Absolutely not ideal for anything other than light duties...
