so i had a mate of mine mention today he reckons he could get a powerfc to work with an aristo.

he said if i was to buy a powerfc for a manual jza80 and then get a hold of another set of ecu plugs (cut from a harness from a wrecked vehilce etc) that he would be able to piggy back it like a haltech etc.....

do you think it could be done?

explain....

i think considering haltechs are run piggy back if a power fc was run piggy back also you still have the stock ecu running the auto side of things and power fc to do the rest. Same as a haltech setup or any ecu for that matter.

would like to see your imput on this anyway davidan as this is the reason i asked. To see what peoples thoughts are.

you can still piggyback a standalone in

jase you could definitely do it, how difficult it would be though i'm unsure. you basically need to graft the new plugs into the loom, but leaving out the injector and timing controls. you then use the PFC on the original plugs, but you need to remove anything that control the auto, and anything that will conflict with the standard ecu. as for exactly what those things are though, i'm unsure.

Ah Jamie PFC is standalone yes Smile

Yeah that's what mate was saying lysdex forgot your name sorry bro.
He seems to think piggy back it like you would a haltech and it should work
