hey guys.
I know it is an aristo forum but its the closest car to it. I have a 1993 lexus es300 with factory immobilizer and alarm. Basically had an after market one installed due to losing the original key with the transponder. Now the w@nker who installed the after market immobilizer never disabled the lexus immobilizer and alarm and now wants more money. The lexus alarm will enable itself every few hours...the question is do you guys know how to disable it? Remember the newer aristo coming with immobilizer.
Battery removal doesn't do much and I have searched.
thanks
edit-problem solved with the help of GT Autosound in adel they are great guys.

I would have thought that under Australian consumer law he would have an obligation to install the alarm correctly by disabling the factory system in the first place. I'm assuming that you told him the reason why you wanted it installed?
Check with the Office of Fair Trading. |

ant-yeah explained to him how I lost 1 out of 2 keys and would only like to use the original key to start the car. Told him to install after market immobilizer and central locking and don't want the lexus one to be used.
Thanks for the help. I have checked with consumer affairs and will contact them shortly. |
