Ok here is my question, What affects will I have to my timing good or bad? if I push for 450-500whp with current mods.

540cc sard injectors
Neo
Sard fuel reg
Bosch 044
TO4Z

The reason I ask is I have been told that it is bad for the engine to pull fuel with an safc but on the other hand I have been told that with the 540cc being so small the need to pull alot of fuel should not be an issue and hence wil not affect timing as much.

Any advice would be great.

I'll explain more in person mate but what we are going to do is run the Neo at a point where the timing will be what it is at 14psi or so (just before fuel cut).

From the maps I have of the stock ECU at that point, this is about 18deg advance. This is not too different to what I'm running on mine with the E11 so it'll be fine. If you pull to much fuel...yes it becomes an issue as the ECU is then forced to use the ignition maps much lower in the LOAD range...and therefore uses more timing.

As I said, I'll explain more when we tune the bitch Smile

correcting the fuel settings by too much will seriously affect your timing..

But using 540s where 440s where stock is still ok (less than 20% correction)

When you start makinhg adjustments for injectors that are almost twice the capacity is where the bullocks starts.( ie runing 850s with a safc would be crazy)

Rule of thumb:

Adding Fuel pulls Timing

Pulling Fuel adds timing
