Hi Everyone.
I'm new to the site, but have been a member of ALSC/Soarercentral for about 4 years. I currently have a 93 black TT factory manual soarer, but am thinking of changing to a "luxury 4 door with the heart of a supra" - Aristo Yo!!
I'll have to sell the soarer before i get too serious, but i'm doing some research at the moment.
I guess my ideal car would be a black one with leather trim, but from what i've read they are as rare as a black TT manual soarer! I quite like silver though, but what are my chances of getting leather trim?
Also with regards to lowering, have most of you put coil overs in, or can you get lowered springs? If so, can you get them locally and in different heights?

Id say most guys would have coilovers as i know most WA guys do or will very soon Very Happy

Most have bought thru the forum sponsor (Nakedterror) as have i as im sure he's deals with alot of topend gear like TEIN / HKS Smile

They're definetly around black with leather as are silver they're plenty in Japan if you're patient enough as another option is to buy a good nick black / silver Aristo with velour trim and then locate a set of complete leather trim for about 1k and do the swap as have done it myself and happy with the end result.

So may different combo's with Aristo as like you're doing researching about these cars is the key for sure Very Happy

If you find the right car, that doesn't have leather, get it anyway. You can get a leather interior for around a thousand and put it in yourself.

Mate I've just sold my Soarer which was on the market for at least 3 months. Very hard cars to move at the moment, at least yours is black & 5 speed, which should move alright as long as you don't ask crazy money for it.

That's not a bad option, did you get complete seats, or just new covers?

I've noticed that with soarers on carsales. The key is the price, i just don't know what it is worth? 93 5 spd, 160,000ks, few small mods (LSD, intercooler, exhaust, stereo, wheels), very good condition (i'm not just saying that, i've had a lot of comments), recently new shocks bushes and brakes. Personally imported in 2003. What do you think it might be worth? The 5 spd's i've see are anywhere from 12,000 to 22,000!

Mine came with leather, but factory leather interiors can be had for around $1000-$1200. The covers you can buy are usually synthetic leather / PVC I'm not sure how much they are.

No idea on what you'll get for your car, but Soarers are hard to move at the moment, I had a 91 blue TT auto, body kit, rims, lowered, abs, boost, afc which I had advertised for 3 months before I sold it.

Thanks for the input guys. It's given me a lot to think about. I've been in contact with Aaron at Rampant, who has also given me some info to go with.
I guess my original question about suspension was really with regards to aftermarket springs. Does anyone like King or Whiteline make lowered springs for these cars? Do they share any componentry with the Soarer/Supra of the same vintage?

Got a black one with leather seats myself. when i was looking around, there was always 1or 2 black ones with leather every fortnightly at the auctions. but there are usually more bidders for those so bid limit have to be a bit more 'flexible' i guess esp. the grade 4s (mine's only 3.5 Smile ). If your not in a hurry and leather is optional, there are plently of blacks each week to chose from.

As far as springs go, I will have some RS*R lowered springs for sale in a few months.

A few companies do springs for them, but i'm not sure exactly who sorry.
