Gents,

So I've decided my next mod will be to get the car tuned.

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this, so am after some help, please. I dont want to spend big bucks, so will be opting for a piggy back. Am I right in saying that there are only two feasible optiosn available: the SAFC and the e-manage?

Which am I best off going for, and why?

Also, whats the go with running a FCD and piggy back system? I would hope to keep running the same boost levels I am now, i.e. 1.1 - 1.2 bar.

Thanks

someone was selling their blue version and i think they said it does injection too... maybe

increase the boost -> lowers the fuel... increase the fuel -> pulls the timing...

SAFC will only do fuel but you can still make good gains (PM 2jcya about what he's achieved)

However, for the same money you can get an eManage that does fuel and ignition....

Choose a workshop first that you trust with your tune then ask them as your end result will depend on how familiar the workshop is with the product (and how willing they are to use it) I found it pretty difficult to get any info on the eManage over here in Perth as everyone thinks they are garbage. They may not be the best ECU but for some applications I think they are perfect.

As for the FCD, forget them if you go with either of these options...fuel cut can be tuned out Smile

I have a emanage blue fitted to my car, I was going to get a SAFC but emanage blues are so cheap to buy and have a lot more tuneable functions in them.
Emanage are quite common and any good tuning shop should be able to tune it for you.
The place I use has tuned quite a few toyotas and I'm happy with the result I got.
I can PM his details if you like.
