Anyone got stretched tyres on a 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 rim ? or 18s for that matter ?
Size im looking at is 235 front and 255 rear in 19.
Any pics of 225/235/245/255/265 tyres on 8.5 and 9.5 rims would be great.
Just wanna know how much the tyres will stretch and what they will look like.
Any info/pics appreciated !
Thanks

sidewall plays a big part too.
i dont think i uploaded my pics, but 225/35 is pretty stretched on a 9.5" rim. You need to specify tyre brand and type too cause some run wider than others.
225/35 on 9.5 isnt legal though, if you want to keep it legal-ish i would find a tyre shop that isnt scared of stretch, and then get them to check their charts and see what the smallest legal size tyre you can run for a 30 or 35 series sidewall is for your 8.5 and 9.5. then ask them what options they have, and go from there e.g. get their narrow running one if you want extra stretch, or get a wide running one (like a federal ss595) if you dont want too much stretch.
it also depends how much stretch you really need. do you really need lots or are you going to have gaps between your tyre and your fender? if you are, then you want to match the stretch to your fender as much as possible, otherwise it will look crap.
my opinion, 225 all round if you want big stretch, otherwise 225 on the 8.5 and 235 on the 9.5

i have a mate that owns a tyrepower store, so not an issue !!
the bonus of having one of your best mates who buys/sells/fits wheels and tyres for a living.
i was thinking 235 on the 8.5x19 and 255 on the 9.5.
that would just be a mild stretch if i can call it that i reckon ?
what you think ? 225 is too small in my book, i wasnt ever thinking that stretched.
thanks for the input.

yeah it wont be very stretched at all, though that depends on sidewall too. i had 235/40 on a 9" and it wasnt stretched at all really. so 235/35 on 8.5" may be mildly stretched.
