first of all, here in canada we drive LHD cars, and drive on the right side of the road. that being said, you can image that i get much attention from other cars and passerbys when i drive around in my RHD aristo.

so i noticed an altima SER going pretty fast in traffic and started following. actually i was showing off my car to an old friend that had went in the west for a while. as luck would have it we ended up on a 3 lanes stoplight with no one on the left and no one up ahead.
click on POWER and there we go!
i immediately started to pull off of him even tho my TRC light was flashing like crazy and at times i could hear " crrrrrrrrr tk tk tk tk " --- i think this means the TRC is working hard eh ?
shift second then i start seeing him in my left mirror, when 3rd shifted we both knew he was beaten, because we were about to hit 150 and he wasnt catching up.
we had first snow 2 days ago and so the road was a bit wet. i run brand new toyo garit KX.
the road we were on was pretty long (1/2 mile) and straight with little bumps and a (relatively) nice pavement.

we then had a chat at the next light. the shock on his face when he saw my friend sitting in what he tought was the driver's seat !
he told me he never tought id take him, and that only 3 other cars had passed him. a 3sgte mr2, a WRX sti and skyline. (i think, dont recall good tho)
anyways i was really stoked on that win, because manufacturer posted 1/4 mile time of 14.2 for that car. it runs a VQ35DE wich is a strong V6, one of the best V6 available today.
also i doubt dont think he had bad tires because he would never had stood a chance in the first place, and his FWD setup gave him the advantage over me because the TRC kept my ass on track.
would like to run into one at the 1/4mile track next summer. as its a 4doors we defenetly fall in the same class.

drove away with a big ass smile.

Always good to hear about a win, but I reckon you'd walk that thing easily, 3.5V6 NA, FWD Sleepy

Motor sounds similar to R35 Skyline & 350Z.

isnt the Altima just like an American Maxima, you can go fishing for bigger prey then that mate!!! Get an exhaust, cooler, FCD, add 19 PSI and go hunting Ferrari's! hehehehehe Cool

Aaron - I stand corrected Smile

They are slighty smaller than the Maxima, they are the replacement for the Blurbird line of cars. There is a hybrid version that runs Toyota hardware!

Aristo would smoke the Altima in a straight line, but the SER would leave the Aristo around the corners. The SER has some stiff ass suspension

altough its like 40hp short, that altima was pulling pretty hard for a (what seemed like) stock car. keep in minds its prolly 500pounds lighter then our car, so i think the hp/weight ratio are comparable.

i dont think that just because my car has 2 more turbines that its faster, it only has more potential. or rather easier to acheive potential. nissan claims this car does 14.2 seconds 1/4 mile.

also remember that his car is 14years younger than mine ! its a 2005 !!! for a 50 000$ car, it should be able to beat a 16year old car that is totally stock. at least a car thats in the same class.

on a racetrack this car destroys my aristo.

The difference in the years is that the 2J needed 3 litres and forced induction to get 200kW. New engines get the same power from NA 3.5lt. Anything that comes with a turbo charger has a lot more bang for buck potential.
