Ok i dont know if this has been done before, but if it has please post it up coz i couldnt find anything.

All i want to know is(probably other members on this site aswell) is what other aristo owners have come across to replace stock parts with parts from other cars. Surely there is going to be a few things (toyota is know for a few interchangeable parts between a few cars of the same era.)

i.e. engine parts, suspension, interior and exterior.

Thanks Ben.

The answer to your question is yes ther are interchangable parts with other models, however, in most cases there is no real point in worrying about it.
The good thing about the Aristo in Australia is that is is becoming a really popular choice as a frontcut for engine swaps into cars such as early model Supras, Cressida's, even the odd Holden and Merc believe it or not! Because of this, it is not unusal to make a few phonecalls and find dash parts etc from most well know Japanese wreckers/engine importers.
As far as genuine Toyota parts are concerned, places like Castle hill Toyota, just about all the Toyota dealers in New Zealand and many internet businesses offer a range of choices when it comes to buying service parts.
That big, bad arse, (in the nicest possible way), www.importmonster.com.au can also help you get parts for your Aristo through Yahoo Auctions in Japan. This is a great way to get that hard to find unique part.
Most of the after market engine related go fast bits avaliable for the Supra, although not always specifically made for the Aristo will fit. Obviously because it shares the same engine platform.
Be warned with suspesion parts. Only ever use parts for the JZS147 Aristo! Other models of cars may be similar, but not generally the same.

Good Luck. If you want one. PM me. http://www.jzs147.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=657

Very Happy
