I drive with O/D on, and in normal mode.

The red button means 'put it in 1st gear' apparentely. So it puts your trans into first gear. derrr me.

You press the red button when you need to pull the gear out of park when the engine is not on but same as above, I drive in normal in D with O/D on. Use the power button if you want the gearbox to hold the gears longer before shifts

POWER also stiffens up the shocks if you are still using the stock ones.

red button as rbdazzled said

O/D Off prevents the car from going into 4th gear. Recommended for use when towing, or when you're in heavy traffic and don't want her to keep changing between 3rd/4th

PWR/NORM as stated affects when the car changes up gears, and the stock shockies.
I drive in PWR all day every day.

sick i didnt know that. i guess when on dyno then best to put it in D and just turn o/d off ay so the dyno run will be in 3rd gear. is this correct??

and yeah as said before red button is used when car is off and you need to change/move gear stick

OD only prevents 4th gear from engaging. So instead of running around in 4th your in 3rd, meaning higher rpm and more responsive when you put your foot down.

try it .
cruise along and flick od on and off. The revs change when you do it ? unsure if its just an electrical thing to give you a software higher rev range or whether its actually changing anything in the box ?

definitely changing between 3rd and 4th when you turn OD on/off
testimony on how nice and smooth the auto gearbox is on the Aristo Smile

It disables 4th gear. Thus dropping you to third gear causing a higher rpm.

also you should service your transmission every 20,000 or so ks.
this will prevent the buildup of sludge and particles which have worn off through general wear and which will in tern prolongue the life of the transmission.

^ x2 Smile

Also i think many dyno runs are done in 3rd because you can hit the speed limiter in it (therefore earlier in 4th). If you have removed the speed limiter then it's a non-issue. Mine is always done in 3rd.
