As in, in total?
There was no production quota I believe so there's probably very little official info on exactly how many were made... it would be in the vicinity of tens to hundreds of thousands though... not a small number. _________________

Yeah just trying to work out if there was under 20,000 units made. One of the requirements to put one on the road here in NZ seeing our laws are 20 years and not 15 like yours. If the car meet 3 0f these 4 requirements Im set,
The vehicle (or its make, model and submodel) is identified as being a collector's item in one of the following magazines or their respective websites – Australian classic car, Car and driver (US), Automobile (US), Motor (Australia), Motor trend (US), New Zealand autocar, New Zealand classic car, Road and track (US), Top gear (UK), Top gear NZ, Unique cars (Australia) or Wheels (Australia).
The vehicle's make and model has been (or was) manufactured in annual volumes of 20,000 units or less.
The vehicle is, and was manufactured as, a two-door coupe or a convertible.
The vehicle is, and was manufactured as, a high-performance vehicle.
Obviously the coupe/convertable one is a no go but trying to see if it matches the rest. _________________

Can't you just do what everyone else does?
What ever is on the road now was brought over before NZ changed their emmissions law. Now they are allowing "car enthusiests" to bring over a car for themself (even if it doesnt meet frontal impact, emissions or is under 20 years old) as long as you keep it for 4 years and it meet 3 of the 4 from the list above. _________________

if i am reading it correctly this states that the annual volume is 20,000 or less. so therefore as long as 20,000 or less are built each year you are fine?
