My bootlid badges are corroded, so I've got something planned for them

How are they attached and how easy are they to reinstall once removed?

MATE.....MOST ARE JUST STUCK ON !!!...SOMETIMES FELLA...U WILL HAVE 2 PINS FOR ALIGNMENT
OF THE WHATEVER,BUT IT WILL BE "STUCK ON" !!!!
VERY SMALL SCREW DRIVER AND WORK AROUND THE BADGE MATE,LITTLE BY LITTLE
GO LIKE A BULL AT A GATE ,AND U WILL BREAK THE BADGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ooohhhh....and i just used apoxy glue to re stick...mix 2 parts up wait till it starts to harden,
then,replace...so u dont get the shit everywhere u dont want it !!!!

That's pretty much what I was expecting to hear, but didn't want to. Ideally it'd be - "two screws, don't worry about ruining your paint and all that business!"

Ah well, have to get my method for fixing the badges sorted first. Perhaps I'll buy some spares so I can keep my originals, anyone got a few lying around? Just the rear Toyo logo and 3.0V bit.

Mine had 3 pin holes, 2 across the top and one in the middle

I used fishing line to remove mine, just slid it under and it worked a treat.

yeah i just used fishing wire. my paint was a bit pock marked around them though after i removed them even on my 98 so i just applied new doube sided tape and stuck them back on haha

On the topic of badges.. my rear one has come off and it did have little plastic plugs that sat in the boot holes that the badge pins clipped into.

They were shagged so i cant fit the badge back on without going the glue option which im not keen on.

I went into a toyota dealer hoping they were a generic toyota badge thing i could get over the counter but instead got ' bring in your chassis code so i can order the part and its going to take at least 3 weeks blah blah...'

anyone come across these by other means?

what they come off or will fit ???...u take your chances with them ????
there would be over 300 sizes to choose from peeps !!!
thats why local supplyers will ask for "vin no" to get the "right size for u !!!.............nick....
