do he ball joints from the series 2 aristo fit into the series 1 aristo does anyone know

Good question!

Depends on which ball joints. Front or rear, upper or lower. The rear upper for example are different part numbers.

OK.

The front lower ball joints are different. The S1 and S2 have different part numbers.

Saying that, they may still be the same actual part and may fit. I am a person that would not risk it though.

(The uppers are the same I believe.)

I thought the two different numbers represented before and after recall or something like that, and no matter which you order, they supply the newer ones?

That's quite possible, but it it does not say that in the EPC. I always go the safe route.
