Just wondering how you guys go with insurance for your cars with single turbo conversions?

Will it void my insurance if I go down that route...

I've spoken with NT Roads up here and they have no issues registering the car with a single conversion instead of the twins.

Cheers
Dan.

I'm with Shannons and have been with all my performance cars.
They are amazing and VERY helpfull and know the cars you insure, And you get a free windscreen every 12 months and have agreed value. You must have the car in a lock up garage, must be over 25, Must be an inthuiest, with a member of a club, have a CAMS Licence, ect.....

You don't need to be 25 btw
They were going to let me insure with them fine when I was 21ish (with a perfect record), but my garage wasn't lock-up.

Yeah.

I think you need to be 25 to get a quote on line, but you can still call up and get a quote if you are under 25.

Yeah......actually come to think of it I have been with them for 7 years now when I was 24yo.
So maybe just online over 25.
I have EVERY mod listed with them on the aristo and my Wife's Ralliart COLT (With mods), get a multi policy discount.
They we're VERY help full when I went through floods in my EVO III, They payied for a Standard engine rebuild and I just pitched in the extra $$$ for forged rods/pistons ect....
They even offered to pay for the carpets to be removed and dry cleaned. Smile

When I enquired with Famous Car Insurance they told me it was a good thing it was a single turbo, because they won't insure anyone under 25 with a twin turbo car.

Go figure.

Just no telling people sometimes. Rant

No, I just told them all the list of mods. I dont see why you would need a engineering certificate for a single turbo conversion any ways. (In QLD you dont need to)
