After reading some other posts on the forum it made me think how much money have I spent so far on my Aristo to get it where it is in the way of looks and performance.
So I thought some of you might want to give us all a list of what they have done and how much it has cost.
As we all know there is no such thing as a cheap modified car.
And also gives everyone else a bit of a idea what they need to spend on there car to get it to where they want it.
And gives everyone an idea of buying a Aristo already modded it a far better way of doing things but we all enjoy doing our own mods.
So here I go here is a list of what I have done and the prices it has cost me to get the parts I have needed.

1992 Aristo standard with 17inch alloys blitzs ecu pod filter $11,000
Fmic $100
Piping etc $150
Exhaust Stainless $800
MV 1.5 shift kit fluid etc $400
Transcooler and hoses $150
Walbro in tank pump $150
Emanage Blue $250
Harness $150
550cc injectors $400
Boost tap $50
Tuning Dyno time etc $1000
In dash dvd player $600
Surround and beatsonic $150
Sub $100
Headrest LCDs $150
Coilovers $550
Dash LEDS $100
Boost gauge $60
Reversing camera $140
Clear side lights $22

So the car owes me so far not including fuel, reg, insurence, etc $16,282
Made 261rwkws and does low 13s
I'm happy with how much I have spent as I try to be a budget car modifier.
Does anyone want to show how much they have spent?
Don't be scared Bawling

1994 S2 ( i think) I paid 19K (18 months ago) spent $3500 wheels $1000 dvd and about $2500 on repairs. So $26000, and still stock engine wise. Was a tad expensive original purchase but was original black, coilies, 18's 102000kms. Didint know what they were worth just saw it and wanted it. Not too keen to do performance mods anymore cant justify the $$$$. Happy with a Gangta cruiser. still more repairs to do...new front bar , left front guard, fix electric seats and fix fuel gauge.....Money pit!!!

my Aristo made a grinding noise for days with loose wheel nuts.

and they were nowhere near loose enough for the wheel to ever fall off.

if it was making that much noise, and you kept driving, I think maybe you're an idiot Smile

Didn’t really want to go here as I’ve never really added it all up…didn’t wanna know Embarassed

But, I got bored and threw some numbers on the page and this is what I got.

Purchase of 1993 Aristo with (known) major engine issue - $10000 (this was cheap in April 2007)

2nd hand engine - $2000

19” Rims and tyres - $2500

Multiple gearbox builds and strengthening plus 4000rpm converter - $5000+ (not including the latest issue) This includes a build to fully spragless and conversion to manual line pressure setup.

JV shiftbox to control the gear on the full manual box - $20 Smile

Haltech E11V2 from the states at a great price (when the AUD was strong) - $1700

SARD 800cc injectors from RHD Japan (when the AUD was strong) - $600

T04Z, Manifold and TIAL 44mm gate - $2500 (new gate and manifold but swapped several times from GT30R to GT35R to T04Z)

JV 3” Dump and 2” screamer pipes - $300

Kakimoto 3” single SS exhaust - $600

100mm FMIC and piping etc - $300

Bosch 044 and fittings - $300

Haltech boost solenoid and trim module - $200

Apexi 50mm boost gauge - $150

Alarm and immobiliser - $300

275/50/17 MT ET streets and Supra 17x9.5's - $500

PLX wideband Kit - $350

First tune for GT35R - $480

So that takes it to $27800 for the stuff I can remember. I’ve erred on the cheap side of prices for items I can’t remember fully. There is obviously a lot of small shit that I have forgotten (like pod filters, cabling etc).

Theirs no labour in the above costs either as I have done all the work myself...apart from the first tune on the GT35R, the car has never had work done in a workshop.

I too will be looking at selling later in the year once I get my 10. I have no plans in caging this thing out to go faster and will be building up something a lot smaller and lighter…where 500rwhp gets you more than low 11’s high 10’s. Very Happy
