Hi all this is my first post on this forum so i hope it holds me in good stead. I am a member of Soarer Central and have a 91 GT Limited which i am looking to sell to get me into one of these great cars. I am researching and reading all i can about these cars before i purchase.

wish list for me:

The latest model i can buy which i think would be a 97/98?
147, 160 or 161.... V300, VVTI????
series 1 or 2?
White or White on Grey
Twin Turbo
Torsen LSD
Fully Optioned (although sunroof is not mandaory)
Leather (mandatory)

As i learn more things might change but thats the list at this stage. Your help and input/advice is greatly appreciated. i also apologise in advance should this have already been covered.

The link is to the production spec for Aristo:

Hi Mate.

147 is the model that almost all of us have here. They were available as turbo and NA.

The 160 was sold here as a Lexus GS300 and therefore both the jap spec NA 160 and TT 161 are not elligable for import here, except for a couple of personal imports.

If you can't get one with an LSD you can pick them up as somebody crashes theirs Smile

I had a Soarer before my Aristo and is a fairly logical step if you need 4 doors.

Aha thanks for that.... i guess the temptation is to always go newer, bigger better more.

So what is the latest month/year i can buy into Aus?

It would be a series 2 then? they did not have LSD?

yes i am prepared to buy lsd if all other boxes are ticked.

ah yes the V8 4wd .... nice car but i need some hairdryers out in front of me..... plus i love the fact the Aristo is such a sleeper!

OK. The really funny thing about this thread is that if you look at the thread above......well just just say you may not have to ask too many more questions! Confused

LOL no probs. They all came with the option of the torsen diff. The only way to ceck is by looking at the code on the manufacturing plate under the bonnet.
