I hate to do this cos it annoys me silly on other forums, but it would be nice if people used the Search a little more - this has been covered at least a handful of times.

One is meant to be for water, and the other for detergent of some kind.

There is controversy about which function is what .. but the stalk has two ways of causing stuff to come from the squirters .. i think the button on the end, aswell as pushing the stalk forward or sth like that (cant remember off the top of my head)
One is pure water, the other is either water+detergent.. or just detergent depending on who you talk to.

I don't know if anyone is 100% on it. I personally don't give a stuff, I just fill em up with water n push the button =p

From memory the button on the end of the stalk does water only. Pushing the stalk away from you mixes in some window washing stuff from the other tank.

I am 100% sure as I had a Japanese friend of mine translate this part of the handbook.

One bottle is water and a solvent to clear oil and grease etc and the other is detergent and water in the traditional sense. I cannot remember off the top of my head which way around it is meant to be but in reality it does not really matter. Make your own choice what you want it to have. I can't imagine that the previous owner would still worry about it anyway. Both bottles would most likely be filled with water and maybe some detergent.
The handbook states that you should stop when using the solvent one, I guess to avoid getting too much fluid on the paintwork.

The bottles operate indapendantly

Pretty sure you push back on the stalk to get the smaller bottle to work, because that one has all this writing, where as the push button only has the normal washer symbol
