has anyone ever done the swap of using the 161 trany with the tiptronic in the 147 chassis?

Yeh the 161 box would be a fair penny due to it being tiptronic, why dont u just get a r154 Very Happy

Great idea, and like your thinking but...
Worked 147Auto would be cheaper, and EAT anything the later gs300's can dish up.
Money spent on anything other than working an Auto, should go towards a manual conversion IMO.
