Yes, I am a noob and yes, I am still hunting for an Aristo...

My question is, what's the difference between a series 1 and series 2 aristo?

I have noticed the following:

Series 1 has driver airbag and Series 2 has dual airbags
Series 2 has the updated tail lights

Anything else? I've also noticed that the centre console surround around the audio head unit is different, and the centre arm rest is different?

Also, what are the interior colours? are there any full black interiors? black velour trim or black leather trim? The pics I've seen so far have cream leather or that disgusting blue/grey leather....Then velour combi's are blue/grey, cream/brown...

Your help and support is greatly appreciated (and I hope this thread provides other NOOBs with an educated knowledge on Aristos).

And yes, I've read the "spechal" thread...but not alot of useful info.

I couldn't even tell the difference in the rear bumper from S1 and S2 in the thread...hmm...do I need glasses?

Also, I've notice keyless entry in the Aristos, is this true? Furthermore, I've been doing some reading on this forum regarding bushes? Is it really a major problem in these cars? I've had my fair share of "fun" over the years trying to 'fix' up car issues with jap imports and just want to have peace of mind for a change and don't want to get myself into another "journey to the centre of the earth" experience....

S2 bumper simply sticks out a few cm more.

if you saw them side by side you'd spot it straight away.

Yes, they have keyless entry (at least series 2). The button will be a bit hard to find on the key the first time Smile

There are no black interiors. Some have aftermarket (p)leather seatcovers in black but the dash will still be brown or grey.

With series 1, most cars have airbags & cruise however there was a 'pov pack' series 1 that came without these things.

Series 2:
deleted the option to turn off the steering wheel retract
deleted the option to turn off keyless entry
added cup holders to centre console
added passenger airbag
added chrome trim around taillights
changed rear bumper
