XD im so happy. i finaly found an aristo that kinda meats all my needs... missing lsd and leather... but its black sunroof and got just over 100k and its already landed and complied... fresh rubber on tthe stock rims... i had a little look over the car had one scracth that had some paint over the top hope that wont cause rust later on.... and the rear brakes are rusty as.... everything else looked neat and tidy needs a detail clean on the inside aswell but im stocked waiting to hear back from back XD
want to know what other things i should look for just before i hand over the cash....
other note man it was awesome to drive!!! loved it when the turbos kicked in bit over 4000 sounds awesome XD even with stock exhaust.
also has a Gredy turbo timer... well i think it is wasn't on when i was in the car. made sure i left the car going a bit after i drove it and had it going whilst looking over everything.

He means the door trim/weather stripping on the matt black trim around the windows. It can bulge out in parts, mine's doing it in a few spots but it's not noticable unless you look closely, although it does contribute to cabin noise. It seems to be unavoidable as the clips break.
I'd be more concerned about any service history & checking ball joints and other suspension components, and yeah, all electrics (seats and windows being the big two).
Also if 100,000k service has been done, search threads for that one. You'll need to budget at least another thou if it hasn't.
Don't worry too much about the lack of LSD as there are plenty of options there. You said it's black, what year is it? If it's a series 2 you're good, if not it's most likely a respray.

no a very descriptive ad lol but was good enough to get me having a lookse they both work it was just great when the 2nd one kicked in. Best way to check though?
yeah the 100000 been done, but i will get another service done in the not too long feauture just to be safe. well i was driving with no music and i could'nt hear the road... it was awesome... one this i hated about my pulsar ... on the high way and all you can hear is the doors rattling and the wheels turning... so loud. _________________

Get a mechanic to look at the car before you buy it, I can't stress that enough.
Rusty brakes? You mean on the face of the rotor? Let the car sit in the rain for 15 minutes and that will happen, as soon as you apply the brakes it will go away. _________________
oh okay sweet yeah thinking of getting the RACQ guys to come check shit out for me cause i would have no idea what to check for and how...
oh alsong as it will go away.
im no mecahnic mate but i would strongly reccomend getting a proper mechanic out. im not sure about racq but in sydney when i used to sell cars and people brought someone over from nrma for a car check they go over it in about 10-15mins or so and they do not check everything properly but maybe racq are better i am unsure. nothing worse than paying money for bullshit help.

I believe 94 was the transition year from S1 to S2, so it probably depends on the month of manufacture. There are probably also a whole bunch of odd ones from that year too, which could explain the ever-elusive stock black S1??
