Thinking about buying some wheels for me aristo but im unsure bout the offset and dont know if they'll fit properly.
Can someone tell me what the think!
the wheels are
front= 19x9.5 -23
Rear= 19x9.5 -31
I dunno shit bout offset so if someone could tell me how theyd fit
(would they stick out?,do i need spacers?,etc) that would be great

according to hpi they reckon the 19s will rub on the inner plastics on the front, is this true?
That would depend on many factors including rim width / tyre profile / tyre width / offset.
so it is hard to answer your question.

If you were aaron - you would make them fit with UBER neg camber, and flared gaurds - on a stock body, my money would be they would sit out of the gaurds about 50-60mm ...
I have 19's on the front of mine, and the car is lowered a little, and there is room between the tyre and the plastic.
You have to remember that by going up in rim diameter doesn't mean the overall circumference is any bigger. I went from 225/55/16 all round to 235/35/19 on the front and 265/30/19 on the back and the rolling circumference is almost identical (about 3mm I think).

Yeah, hugely negative rims like that are insane... Probably dished like crazy?
If it helps, i've got 18x8 on front and 18x9 on rear.. both with +44 Offsets, which is about right for these cars.
More negative = sticks the wheel out.. if they're wide with too much negative offset, they will stick out of the guards.
That's not too much of a problem, just means you need to get them rolled!

the Aristo guards are enormous and you can get quite low offsets on them compared to say, a Soarer
Anywhere around +30 is pretty good, a little stretched rubber and rolled guards will do wonders
Also - if you really want to get crazy dish, the stiffer your suspension the better. If you have a lot of suspension travel, you're more likely to scrub the guards
I have some 10" and 11" wide babies coming in soon, so I'll be testing this out

what do the numbers represent. (e.g '+31') i know its the backspacing/offset, but is it 3.1 cm, or 3.1mm or 3.1" or is it a percentage of the wheel?
im use to dealing with yankie lingo which is just inches of backspace (i.e. a 3.5" back space wheel has 3.5" from the inner lip to the mouting face).
yeah, it's mm from the dead centre of the rim - so +31 brings the mounting face of the rim 31mm closer to the outer face of the rim. -31 goes the other way

So the lower the offset, the bigger the dish
ah ok, so a 9" rim with +31 would have a backspacing of 6".
