Suncorp fully comp. $632.00. Declared 19s", blowoff and filter confirmed with broker three times!
I couldn't believe it! It's in writing and paid for. I hope I won't get screwed tho.

just car 1096 no mods with rating protection at 1050 excess. I think its ok for a 22 year old when i hit 24 the excess will be 450. I had my mags and dvd at 1500 each last year and it was 1600 a year. The car is insured for 19500 it dropped 490 in a year Smile

hi gang, none of you have talked about agreed value,or what can i do to the car and not let you know about it,or do i have to tell you everything,

dam,the wife has just gone out in the car,so i cant tell you who right now,

but i got agreed value of $20.000 and it is insured as a modified street car ,i can do what the hell iwant and i dont have to tell them anything, and i get a screen a year(free)and everything is covered
if someone nicks my music system or rims, they replace them,CHECK THIS ONE,(hail damage
COVERED)and yes i have an alarm,
i think it costs me about $850 a year, and i will check excess i think it is $500
all the best nick.......... Very Happy

I have also heard JustCar are ball breakers, but hey it's my only option until I turn 25 it seems Sad
LSV sound pretty good, and I know Shannons are good, but they're both over 25 only. So I just gotta be careful and wait it out. Currently with Just Car, $1300 a year.

lol do they actually check what you have owned before or is it just interrogation ? And how do you prove you are in a car club etc ?

Not at all, there really isnt a database of auto clubs they can check. And same with the cars, it seemed more like a bit of check-n-see.

for what its worth guys, thats why most DONT PAY,when you make a claim and they send a bloke out ,the first thing they are looking for is any mods you have not told them about,
thats there let out,
i have it in writing, and have asked many, many, times, and i have done shitloads of things to my car since i purchased it,i am still fully covered regardless what i have done to the car,
PIECE OF MIND FOR ME GUYS,
compared to other companys ,that have to know everything you want to do,and they say
YES OR NO, then charge you for the privalige, cheers nick............. Very Happy

hey fellas
need some halp with Shannons.
LSV have quoted me $1282 @ 15k

For the amount you use the car do you just choose 'club permit' registration or is that for track day only cars ? This lowers the amount you pay a fair bit. By 300 bucks or so ....

I'm pretty sure you have to onnly have Club Rego for that option mate.

Wish I could club rego mine, I've done less than 5000km in over 18 months ownership.

im 19 and looking at getting an aristo in the next 3 months, and was quoted 2600 full comp or 550 third party fire and theft, through just cars. unfortunately these guys were about the only people that would insure the car.

just going back to them not paying out, maybe i was lucky. I had the pulsar insured with Just Car and listed some of the mods, but the car was significantly illegal with the mods it had, plus a lot of things i had not declared with Just Car. When the care was written off they towed it to South Melbourne and the assessor just said you can have the car for $800 and we'll be paying you out. His level of assessment i would class as 'scarce' as he basically just looked at the car and said it was a write off. I never had any problems with Just Car in terms of getting the money.

Maybe i was lucky, or maybe it's not as tight-assed as i thought.
