Just wondering if anyone has attempted this?
I would rather do it myself if possible than pay someone to come out and do it.
Not completely sure how it works though...
I understand on some tyres, sanding back will reveal a white rubber layer.
Businesses specialising in whitewall engraving actually use their own latex based paint.
that is all I know, hoping someone can shed some light on how to do this
I would imagine one would need to use a certain type of tape to protect the tyres if using the paint method. cutting the tape into a perfect circle and keeping it off the car is another issue... _________________

youll never get the finish they do and perfectly circular.
for the money just get mobile guy to do it, its not that dear.
any colour too.
my mate has red walls on his original XB GT, had it done, looks awesome, like it was made like that from factory.

hey mate i random info that might help is that if u use normal paint it will crack and fk up in a day or two but if u use tennis court paint it will last a fair while like 3 or 4 months. then u just repaint it. paint that they use to mark tennis court lines. its somehow made with a flexible base or somecrap..... hope this helps and if it does work for u then post up pics ay. oh and i have actually seen a guy who used tennis court paint so its not something that i jsut made up lol.
will try to find out more about the tennis court paint. considering it sticks to tarmac + maintains itself despite being walkedx all over itd have to be resiliant enough to use on car tyres. will definatelly look into that one. I believe the mobile white wallers use latex based paint , so i might look into that as well.

i would suggest getting it done professionally, ive had it done twice on a previous car, it was $70 each time, though i think it costs $80 now (this is in adelaide btw)

do it right with the right stuff.
you you could use liquid paper white out and do it yourself !! _________________
