wheel arch guards

anyone removed the inner guard lip thing that sits on the edge of the wheel arch front and back ??

i dont have a 147 but ive removed it on other cars and will remove it on this one. just make sure you plug/tape/cover the holes through to the engine bay so it doesnt flick loads of crap into there.

also it looks pretty messy so if you can i would try trimming it/ heating & bending it etc unless you truly cannot have it at all.

At the edge of the inner guard is the guard protector edge thingo.. it's just a lip, about an inch wide.. four screws holding it in around the edge.

Under that edge is the entire inner guard plastic bit.

Is that what you wanted to know?

at least on my car, the front is a lip then the whole plastic liner.

on the rear, just a plastic lip, no liner

That lip holds the inner guard (plastic) in . My driver side lip piece is broken and my inner guard has fallen down due too my wheels hitting when turning sharp into driveways and bumps (car too low)

sorry not mean to cut you down too bad there hahah just meant its a pretty common thing to do and is no prob to do. pretty much every single car has this problem once lowered a lot and/or big wheels.

remember what i say about trying to cover open holes and maybe trying to keep some of it for aesthetics, depending how low you are and how big your wheels are it can look messy with a big gaping hole there.

also bear in mind that the wiring harness is up in there so you will likely need to move that and re-protect it somehow
