JZA80 Supra & JZZ30 Soarer are same I believe as far as the actual diff.

There are different ratio's available which are the numbers A01 / A02 etc.

It needs to be an A series diff, which all JZA80 Supras came with, except for the first half 6 speed twin turbo.

They came with a B series which is much bigger:)

As long as it wasn't out of a six speed tt from 93-97. 98 onwards is fine and n/a or auto tt are fine Smile

So is there any difference in ratios between the A and B series Diffs? And is the B series stronger?

eg, A01b is an a series diff with a torsen centre a01a would be an a series with an open centre

B03b diff is a b series diff, with a torsen centre - this will not fit an Aristo without a lot of stuffing around

best combo is grab your stocker open wheeler, get a cusco or trd center, 1.5 way is quiet good for street, and get a soarer gear set as it takes your ratios quiet close to 4.1:1, which gives far better acceleration than the stock 3.7s or whatever they are .......
