Hi all!
Ive been in Australia for 3.1 months now. Queensland is beautiful. So are the veriety of cars in this place! I'm from South Africa. The richest country on the African continent. Many BMWs' and Mercs there. VW is huge. So too Toyota, but not as wide a range as here.
First I wanted a 300zx, then a 4dr turbo skyline, then a supra, then a holden SS, then a soarer and more recently, a XR6t. Now I know I want a Aristo. I do want a manual and preferably with leather trim. Forgive my ignorance, but I'm very green! Can my demands be met?
Kids and lugage can fit, wife won't complain about buying a sportscar and I'll be super happy about the performance! IMO Aristos' are the best value-for-money cars in Australia _________________
Hope you find one mate! I'll let you know now though, manual aristos were never made, you will have to do a conversion for that bit http://www.jzs147.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2042 <-- taht has all the info you need on em _________________
Thought that the UAE would have been the richest country on the African continent. Aww well. Good luck in your searches mate... Just make sure it's 100% what you want before you buy, they're a niche car and I don't imagine too easy to sell to someone outside the "scene".

Now that we've sorted that one out!...Thanks for the well-wishes and advice. I'm realising that Aristo's are "diamonds in the rough". Hard to find exactly the specs you want.
I've found the Aristo I'm going to buy. Private sale. Contacted the owner. He was happy to agree to an inspection. I'm confident that the vehicle-inspection will fully support and endorse the advert, possitively. I've decided have an inspection done by State Roads Vehicle Inspections. anyone used them before? _________________
Is that like the RACQ/NRMA inspections etc?
I personally wouldnt bother with them, they come back with alot of crap.. and sometimes is worthless..
but if you really want it done for a piece of mind - its your call..
Finding a good mech that can look over it is a good idea too.
and, if anything does happen with it once u buy it - you cant blame it on the mech/inspection place, for not picking it up anyways _________________

So, you suggest I go on the word of the seller only? I don't know any good mechanic in Australia! I live in Queensland, Hervey Bay and, I've only been in Oz for 3 months! I know a bit about cars but I'm no mechanic and I'm bound to overlook a few things with a self-inspection.
I need help; which documents should I get from the seller? The car is in Victoria. Do all registration documents look the same in all states? Can someone scan and post an example. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz??????????? _________________
