Hi all,
Has anyone bought an import into the country and gone through Regency Park here in Adelaide for vehicle rego and inspection to get it registered ?
Whats involved ? What do they check ? How fussy are they ? How long does its take ?
Ive got my coming over at the moment , then it goes to Brisbane for compliance and then transported to me. Ill then need to take it to get inspected and registered at Regency Park here in Adelaide.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know if they have 'over the pit' inspections for newly imported cars after compliance, but i bought a car from victoria to register in SA and i had to take it to Regency park but it was not an over the pit inspection, but more of a basic roadworthy check e.g. lights working, no leaks, VIN/Engine number recording. This was done at a different location in regency park also.

Im sure its mainly to record the cars details to go on your rego slip and for their records.

i take it all went smooth then and there wasnt much wrong with your car and after compliance it was all above board to pass regency then.
no worries, thanks tho.

im fairly sure the compliance joint just shows paper work and they just stamp it. Im fairly certain that there isnt much looking about .

however it could be different if you arent a compliance place.... im still unsure how mine got through Confused
