You sure thats not rwkw instead of rwhp? I converted 278hp and its only 207kw. I currently have 198rwkw and its stock boost with only the exhaust and pod...??? Which is normal for people with these mods.

I'm pretty sure I know the difference between horsepower and killer wasps mate Smile

That figure was on a all but stock car, add a few pounds of boost and a catback exhaust and that's what I got. The restricive front pipe (down to about 2 inches in some spots), and the restrictive compliance cat obviously contributed to the figure.

Read the performance section mate, there are cars out there with a lot more mods that still only producae about ~210kW. My next figure should be in the 300's with any luck Eeek Dance

i quite like hearing peoples stories of runs at the lights, anything powered by LS1&2 engines tend to put up a good fight with the aristo. Smile

I had a close one with a WL statesman with an exhaust but by the end of 2nd gear i had 2 car lengths on him. Mine is stock bar a K&N.

Also had an interesting roll on run with an new Audi S6. I had no idea what they had in them at the time, they dont look anything spesh but with some research done they have a 5.2L V10 with 320kw!
He must not have been trying that hard as i pulled away quite steadily.

but then again it weighs a bit over 2 ton and has only 13 more kw than a VE GTS

I know the aristo wins hands down in the bang for your buck department Very Happy

Im a little confused about this, how can an aristo beat cars that have higher hp/kw (power)? Is it how it puts down power very quickly with the sequential system? But in the long run will get beaten? Plus I thought the aristo was pretty heavey. I know when I plant it from a standing start it feels like an explosion under the bonnet especially when u hit 3500rpm, it loves it.

Remember a 2JZ-GE is not well known for being a ball tearer like the 2JZ-GTE is. The difference? Forced induction Smile

Take a 300kW LS2 that is naturally aspirated. If it had forced induction, running 1 bar of boost, it would have 600kW, and be more responsive than a 2J. Naturally this makes a lot of assumptions, but you see what I mean.

When Mercedes put two turbos on their V12 engine for the Maybach, it wound up faster than their fastest cars SL55 / E55. So they had to drop the boost down even further so it was *just* slower.

FI is the future. Eventually 6lt V6's will be replaced with 3lt engines, 1 bar & same power yet far better fuel economy.

Anybody seen Volkswagos new twin-charger engine. Up till now their engines had small turbos for response / no lag. Now they have put a larger turbo on it, and a supercharger too. The blower is for instant response, and turns off once the turbo gets going, they are running this on a 1.4lt engine.

i thought all you would find this funny, my missus was driving home in my car ( i was pissed as !) and an 07 wrx sti pulled up along side, dude wound down his window and asked her for a run, i asked whats done and all he said was 240 atw. missus looked a me and i just shrugged my shoulders. she stalled it up, without traction control on, launched, smoked first and second al the way to around 120 nd still beat him by two or so car lengths, i couldnt contain my laughter it was fkn so funny, the other guy just pulled next side street so he didnt have to go the next set of lights !!!!

I raced a 2001 VU SS with GEN-TT making 340kw atw twice today. And beat it both times. The ute couldn't get traction whereas my aristo seems to put power down to the road pretty well. Also beat an MR2.

My mods are:
intercooler
boost first turbo to 11psi
pod filter
lowered suspension

I was surprized to say the least, 2jz 4tw.

My aristo is stock. i've raced a fair few ppl including a VE clubby with an exhaust on it. was hard coz we were in a bit of traffic so the runs were only short, but all 3 times i was slightly pulling ahead. I used to have a guy in a VZ 297kw malloo race me. Both times i put 2 to 2 and a half car lengths on him (both runs were probably 40-140 or so). my mate has a WL statesman that i absolutely walk all over. had a guy been a tool in a BF XR8 with exhaust and not sure what else. so i thought i'd teach him a lesson and I creamed that. One of the most satisfying wins was actually against a guy in relatively new (07 or something) Porsche Boxster S. Raced twice, both times winning quite easily. Best part was seeing him look real devo'd with his mrs all dolled up in the passnger seat lookin at my car like WTF lol. Had plenty of runs but they are probably the ones you guys would be most interested in.
