Well I'm an idiot. Nudged one of those concrete poles in an undercover car park. So I thought I would just go get the whole bumper resprayed and It would look better than ever, untill I realised what I was up for. I got quoted $500-$600. Do you think this is reasonable? The guy rkns he can buffer most of them out and use some touch up paint, and it will only cost me $60 but it wont be perfect, what you guys rkn? I'm pissed off lol.

Thx

$600 is a tad expensive. if you shop around, im sure you could find a place who'll do it for much less, maybe $400. but sometimes you do get what you pay for.

i paid $700 to have my aftermarket front bar repaired (it was cracked in two places), repainted, and an intercooler installed.

another time on another car i paid $250 to have the roof resprayed in metallic black. when i was shopping around for quotes, the highest i got was $1,000.

When you think about it....

3 hours prep, 1/2paint, 1hour on finishing.

@ $60/hour = $270
+ parts = $100 max

$370 total.

Go it quoted at a place called Brahims body works in Caboolture. I'm probably going to go with the cheaper option and see if i can live with it, if i can't i will get it done properly later on. At least I know what price i should be up for now. While Im on this topic, anyone had there Aristo completey reprayed? How much would that be? Not the top of the range just a midrange kind of job?

that is not a bad price....but it should be pretty good quality, using quality clear and good prep

also having a similar deal with mine, i got a big dinner plate size dent in my rear qtr with scratches on the plastic rear bar.... i got that done for $500 IIRC at a good panel beater over here

the plastic is hard to touch up and look good, a full respray would be the best way, it would look the besst

I would be a hell picky bastard if you paid good money for a full bar respray and it comes out crap Smile
