Every time it rains my boot (spare tyre well) fills up with water, now to me the boot rubbers look new and I can't seem to find any splits in the boot rubbers either. Does anyone else have this problem?? I can't see anywehre else the water could get in.
Also the little drain holes in the boot well these have plugs in them I assume it would be best just to leave the plugs out all the time
I just can't see the point in replacing new looking rubbers to find it still leaks
Cant take pics as my camera is dead but I'm going to tip multiple buckets of water all over the back area of the car, next weekend to see if I can find where its getting in. the weird part none of the carpet ever feels wet
hey guys my boot leaks a little bit of water in heavy rain, I've traced the water back (water detective shit) to the boot seal. It gets through the seal somehow and runs down the back of the boot into the tyre well. There's a few dots of surface rust under the seal but I'm not sure how water is making its way around the seal though, the seal is in good condition and sticks to the boot tightly - ideas?

hop in the boot with a tourch and get someone with a hose to put water over the back (window ,boot, tailights etc ) if its leaking around the lights try window sealer ,same if its coming under your boot rubber , if coming between bootlid and seal adjust bootlid
