Ok, I am looking buying an Aristo soon due to new job and more money to play with but have a bit of a question.
I looked at 2 aristo's today at a yard and they had slightly different looking tail lights... is that a different series option? Are they interchangable? I am unsure how to add a photo but im sure you all know what i mean.
Also can you get cars with blue/grey leather or is it only the brown leather?
yeah the tail lights to vary fro series 1 and 2. personally i like the series 1 light but alas i have a series 2. and yes they are inter-changeable. as for the interior they do come in a variety of colours not just tan/doe-skin. dont confuse the leather for the clad leather either. they can look equally as good but one is essentially a well fitted seat cover. what happens is people put the cover over the cloth interior and unless you were told you couldnt pick it at firs glance. i have this on my car.
Thanks for that 2J, good to find out a bit more info. Does anyone have any Pics of the different lights so i know which ones are series one and which are series 2?
Was there any Difference between Series one/Two cars Besides different tails?
As for the interior... usually the white/2 tone has the brown interior... if its another colour then it has had a colour change most likely...
Otherwise - interiors are the bluey/grey!! _________________
only differences were equipment levels ie. air bags, interior, gadgets. series 1 tail lights have a sort of recess moulded into them. series 2 are completely smooth with a silver edge around the outside. these sometimes fade, peel off making the car look shabby.

Here's a picture of mine which has the series 1 tail lights.
I'm sure someone with a series 2 will post up pictures of theirs so you can see the difference
The main difference is that the series 2 lights have a chrome surround. I've noticed that the series 1 indicator & reversing lights (the lower, clear section) looks slightly tinted too.
I deffinately prefer the tinted look of the series 1 more but i guess each to there own.
Had anyone Experimented or is there some available for purchase (Ebay ect..) For full tinted tails?
I Atm have a 86 Bmw 325i and you can get professionally darkened/tinted front and rear light kits and it doesn't suit every car they are on but can look good with the right balance.
I understand there are legalities that come along with modifying the standard apperance but just putting the question out there.
had another close encounter with the boys in blue today. Don't you just hate when they speed up from behind you to cruise along in your blind spot?

mine doesnt show the chrome bit anyways...
has some black cover over the lights - doesnt have the 'ARISTO' either which is what i like about em! _________________
