I have a problem with the go pedal, basically its crap. Having a pedal that is floor pivoited is not ideal for me, when u take off from the lights is hard to take off gently i find. I did this swap on my ta22 celica with a ra40 pedal and it worked a treat.

Does anyone know of a pedal that will fit the aristo from another car that piviots from the firewall only?

whatever for? Razz

nah, I agree, sometimes its hard to apply minimal acceleration. Have you tried some WD40 to free it up a little?

i loved my TA22 cos every where i went in that was a 4K clutch dump at full throttle (the secondaries in the carby were stuffed and acted like a 4K rev limiter on it)

i would probably look into a supra pedal maybe?? i don't have one lying around to check ... but that would be a good starting point ...

it is weird to get used to, but now i dont have any problem at all applying minimal throttle.

give it a chance for a while and see how it goes.

I might try some WD40 to see if it helps

Supra pedal would be a good start, getting hold of one just to try could be a problem.

Put up and shut up is another option i guess Razz

I hate my pedal feel too. I have a supra one and I plan on trying to fit it in when i do my manual conversion. The only problem is my car is under 50cm of snow until march or april. Sad

pedal just arrived today, and it looks fairly simple - just need to fit it now ... hopefully it goes in with minor headaches ... but that won't happen until manual conversion which is a fair way off yet ...

to be honest i havent even noticed a difference with the aristo pedal being on the floor. except the time that it was in park revving its nutts off because i accidentally pushed the floor mat onto the base of the pedal.

LOL, the aristo manual has somthing about this in it. I like the accelerator pedal on the floor, coming from a car with it being too high its great, better for long trips, but worse for performance I surpose.

I reckon one day ima wire up some relays on the cruise control signal thingo... and have like.. a -10, -5, -1, +1, +5, +10 button box.. n i can just push the buttons and let the cruise handle the actual accelerator Razz
Take off? Sure, just whack +10 a few times and watch it drop back a gear and go crazy LOL
