i use a car Ipod station that that send airwaves trough 88.1 when i cruise around i can hear my turbo's sound, or some type of whine, but it oddly enough its always timed with the turbos; under 1000 rpm i dont hear it.
i turn the radio OFF i dont hear it no more. at first i tought i was crazy but my friend told me about it the other day so im not making this up.
im not really looking to get rid of it, im just wondering if anyone has that, and also what might cause it. _________________

In order to get rid of that interference you will need to get a filter for the "+" power of the stereo, you can get them from any jaycar or such shop. _________________
Ground loop!! You have a dodgy earth somewhere. Easiest way is to run a new ground from where your stereo is grounded through to the battery. They also sell earthing kits in Japan that link up to 5-10 different places around the car.
If it continues, you can put a cap(acitor) on the positive feed to your stereo. Note it is more than likely in the amp (which is in the boot - and furthest away from the battery).

its winter out there so no chances of me doing any work on the car now, lol, look what my car looks like !!!!
and mind you, i shoveled and cleaned the car this morning for work, then i had to shovel around 1000pouns of snow to because i was stuck at work because it was stuck in 2 feets of snow. then uppon arrving home i had to shovel for another good 30 mins to get to park it in my driveway !!!!
lol thx for the info, i will probably work on it come summer. _________________
ive got some engine noise through my stereo now.
im using the wiring the previous owner had in the car, but i have now seperated the RCA and pwer cables to each side of the car, yet can still hear noise...
what ground points have people used for the amp in the boot and behind the headunit
Just make sure all your grounds are good, nice clean contacts.
Failing that you can run a common earth, a wire from each earth point in your system to the other, it doesn't need to carry much load, its just evening it out.
Or a noise filter (just a cap) perhaps on the head unit feed & amp feed.

The TRC works great for me, i put winter tires on it and driven through 1' deep snow from a stand still i think the worst part was that i had to pull over and clean out my intercooler a few times. and it keeps you from drifting in the snow, when you don't want too _________________
