a friend of mine has an 86 with the same kit, but it has much dori dori damage, and is almost entirely held on with cable ties. looks tuff as, especially cos it looks as if it's a drift car, not a show car _________________

It looks like it folds down, which would be INTO the path of the air. Maybe his garage is so small that he needs to be hard up against the front so the door doesn't close on the Aristo's ass.
hinged plates can be rather useful. there are some that are designed to fold down from the airflow into the air dam when ur at say 100kph, so that if ur fanging it way past that, and go past a van or somehting, they cant get ur plates _________________

I always wanted to set that up =p motorized foldaway with a lil button inside the cabin.. push the butto and they fold under so theyre parallel to the ground... a) airflow.. b) no flashy flashy
cops show up, leave them normal...
but im quite sure it's illegal =p
would be fun... _________________

The hinged front plate is only for foiling speed cameras and toll cameras. Notice that the rear plate is almost completely smoked over. The legalities of them are a bit foggy. You can't get rego (shaken) with them on but the cops won't bust you for having them.

That's Japan.
Here you would get absolutely ass reamed if a cop saw that on the street.
Does that hinge actually fool your cameras? To me it looks like you'd still be able to make out the letters from that angle, you'd need much more folded under for it to be unseen. _________________
