It has been covered before by those of us who got them, but for the benefit of everyone.

'POV Pack' Aristos (94-95), are techincally series2 so they have the bigger rear bumper etc, but came with cruise and airbags as options.

I have heard of someone with a 96 or something who appears to be POV pack as well, so not sure exactly when they ended, but it was supposed to be 94 only according to the original sales stuff i could find.

Most people if they got the pov pack model don't have the options (as then they woulda just got the normal one), so they often have no airbags at all, and no cruise.
Sunroof and LSD and even leather were options on these cars as well, so some of us got them without the bags n cruise.

Hope that helps Smile

In these I thought it was the passenger airbag that was the option. I'm yet to see a car that did not come with a drivers airbag (excluding those who have had the wheel removed and an aftermarket one put in).

*rolls eyes*

Nope again.

All airbags were options. !

Seriously guys, do you want to see my car, or the other pov pack car i've seen without an airbag system at all?
The entire lot isn't there. Sensors, ECU, everything.

Actually i can't be bothered.

If you don't believe those of us who have these cars, that's your call.

Yes it's a genuine V.
Yes it's original engine.
Yes it's a ~94 pov pack.
Yes it has no airbag system.

Who has that sales stuff listing the exact types and specifications? It was on here before somewhere
I'm quite sure it lists the pov pack as 94 only. I don't know where you've got this "91,92,93 pov pack" from. They were series 2 ones, the series 1 only had a single spec type, with some things options and some not available.

Happy to stand corrected Smile Does the steering wheel look any different? I can only assume not, coz I have never noticed a wheel looking any different.

Yup,

The steering wheel looks the same dimensionally... but has no airbag SRS logo in the middle.
And the dash is the same, with the slot for the airbag light, but there is no wire running into there on the loom.
(If you want to check this, looking at the back of the dash while it's out. The far top left plug is about 8 wires or so. The dash side has all connections to the plug bit, the loom side is missing one wire around the middle - i'm pretty sure that is the one that goes to the airbag light. Hence it never comes on.)

Think about it logically guys, how much does 1 (passenger) airbag cost? How does it make for a real cheap alternative if all you're doing is taking out one airbag from the normal series 2 models? The entire system tho is a lot of weight! Sensors in the front quarterpanels, sensors in the cabin, the ecu, both airbags, all the wiring. That is bound to save a fair bit of moolah (and weight! Very Happy )

Personally I don't miss em. Sure when you have an acco you mite say different, but ehh. The cruise i would prefer to have though. For those long country drives... Bawling

i can assure you they exist because....

I HAVE ONE SITTING IN MY GARAGE Razz

It has no air bag light in the dash, no airbags at all, no srs air bag logo on the steering wheel, no cruise control, no ambi pure thingo

oh, and mine is March '95 according to the vin number.

some stupid things are that the car is black (cost more), has a sunroof (would definitely have cost more), has the sub and the cd stacker and amp, and the entire centre console was in that turtle shell covering (not just the shifter surround and ashtray, but also the stereo face and the air vents.. im assuming this may have been a factory option maybe? as its not some after market stick on shit)

I can see the cruise logo on the dash in the top left hand corner. Not sure if there is a light behind the logo tho...

Same as mine, no cruise or airbags, so not very rare at all. No, no cruise logo on the dash. In fact when looking for all the cruise gear from half cuts to put in mine, that you have to change the cluster as well. So I just purchased an aftermarket electronic kit from USA, fitted easily.
