get one that either has 3/8" hose barbs on it already, or that has female threads, then get fittings to go to 3/8" hose.
Do you have a FMIC? if so, it seems most people go to bunnings, get some brackets and bend them up and mount it in place of the stock SMIC, so the ducting is still going to it.
Otherwise, just put it in front of the a/c condesor totaly flush on to the airflow.
For the hoses, just disconnect one of the rubber hoses that goes from the radiator to the hard tube and run it to the cooler (i.e. out of the radiator, into the trans cooler, then out of the trans cooler and back into the lines) [i dont know which one is the inlet or the outlet, but set it up so the fluid runs into the radiator first, out of the radiator, then into the trans cooler and then back into the lines]

i know the guy who use to sell them on ebay, he actualy works in dispatch where i work! The company he use to get them off no longer make them... im hunting for a cheapish one on ebay now.
That kind is basically a copy of the B&M supercooler, roughly 8"x11"x1.5" probably the biggest on the market. (they were a pain in the ass to get fittings for too, as they used some form of air conditioning/power steering style reverse flare o ring fitting.. no one stocks them! you can get ones that are almost the same and just screw the bastards in hard which is what most people do )
other great transcoolers are davies craig, tci, pwr.
Can get them with female threads, or -an style fittings on them, or hose barbs. All you need to know is the end result has to be a 3/8" hose barb for an aristo transmission line.
There are also two styles, the ones that are like a snake style looking tube (sorta looks like the back of your fridge!) and the other style is like the one above which has two end tanks and crossover section (like a radiator). www.keas.com.au has always told me to use the later, so i always have.
TCI ones like that in the biggest size they make are about $120? davies craig ones are about $150. (these kits come with a length of hose, hose clamps and often some type of fitting kit)

Ive got one to fit as well and wouldn't mind knowing that info either, anybody know?
I want it so that it runs into the radiator (to take some of the heat out), then into the aftermarket tranny cooler and then back into the tranny.
Running it from the aftermarket tranny cooler and then into the radiator based factory cooler seems like it is more likely to be less efficient at reducing the temps of the fluid. _________________
BUT by running the trans cooler on its own and not the radiator is benifitial as when you goto install your fmic and realise there are these annoying power steering lines in the way, you then buy a length of hose and divert the piece of shit power steering cooling pipes into the radiator, nice n tidy. _________________
