The 6 speed is physically smaller and lighter than the 5 speed, yet is SO much stronger.

Thank the Germans for quality engineering Very Happy

Vary effezient ja.

Which means that will be easier to fit, and you don't have to come up with a hybrid clutch / flywheel setup too, sounds like this will be easier than my 5 speed swap.

But what tailshaft will you use Mal, custom?

What would be good to see would be a A340E sitting next to those boxes to give us a real idea of how light it's going to be.

Personally, I reckon it looks like you're going to have plenty of room fitting that V160 Mal.....seems nice and skinny... Razz

I read that as "nice and shiny" and thought - dude your looking at the R154 hahaha but then i re-read it Very Happy

it will be a little while before the box goes in ... lots of pre-work needs to be done first.

oh - and i can get some A340E when mine comes out ...

When are you picking up your box Mal? Dec 1 my car comes off the road for this, so can take some comparo pics.

Looks to me like the shifter is around 1" closer to the front of the motor with the 6 speed?

Doesn't look like theres much in it does there.....I thought they looked pretty identical in length from Bellhousing/engine to shifter.

Wonder what shifter setup you have on yours to get it to sit there Dan?

This is the 'remote shifter'. This was fitted to the R154 to make it suit 1JZ Soarers & Chasers. The non-remote version was JZA70 Supra I believe.

With the VIC JZS147 cruise having a BBQ at Rampant on Saturday, you'd better hope so, because I'm sure plenty of the lads would like to get their hands on it Smile
