i drove the car at night just recently and noticed that the beam concentration of light seemed very low on the road. when i hit the high beams they seemed to be how it should be. the light seemed to concentrate just about 2 to 3 metres in front of the car. normally its almost the length of the street in a normal car. when standing on front of the car they are as bright as you would expect its just when driving they seemed to get washed out by the street lights. any suggestions or anyone know how to remedy this etc etc...?

Sounds like the lights are not aimed correctly. You can have a go at it yourself, but best bet is to take it to any place that can give a roadworthy certificate (or equivellent in other states) as they will have an aiming board.

hi guys, i will jump in here after reading your posts,
just got a set of HID bulbs for low beam, off ebay, the discription said for gs 300 lexus, BUT will not fit, the bulbs are h7, hot hb3, that is what will fit in the low beam side of my aristo,
so i dont know why they wont fit, when you read that bulbs have been changed for compliance,
that i just dont understand, why anybody would change headlight bulbs to keep WHO happy, can anybody exsplain this to me,
at this stage i have a 6000k super white kit, with h7 bulbs for sale, for what it cost me $100.00, cheers nick...
i have just installed some stock headlights and have noticed that on compliance they machine out or by the looks of my old damaged ones , they drilled out and let the aluminium filings fall into the headlight, to make them fit the slightly larger hb4 bulbs. standard hb3 will fit with no headlight mods however you may need to file down the plastic locaters inside the hb3 to fit the connector.
