What is it with the japanese and adding aftermarket horns to their cars.
To me a horn is something that should be inconspicuous, not something big, blingy and ricey. Sure it is definitely a good thing to have, but they look bloody ugly imo.
Mine had 2 huge suckers that look like snails have been on steroids, needless to say I removed one of them pretty quick smart.
Anyone else have blingy horns on their aristo when it came in from jap land? _________________
Yes mine does..
Some boat foghorn.. and there's a switch to swap over to a normal horn...
The farken wiring that runs through the engine bay is shocking..
Havent had time to even think about removing it all yet! _________________

i upgraded my stock supra horn with a toyota premium set - the supra horn is quite sad stock ... i wanted something a little louder with a bit more in the "balls" department.
my mate put a air horn on his car, good to scare people with.
haha - those that know the horn in my car... they're like - do the horn - and i have it on the std one and beep the horn and they're sooooo dissapointed.....
so then i flick the switch and do the boat.. and they love it....

my skyline when it came over had a switch that changed between normal loud and some weird echo horn that resonated for like 10 seconds. the wiring was so bad i pulled about 12m out fixed it and it worked better than before.
My car came with after market horns too! When i push the centre of the steering wheel, it stays on for about 5 seconds and gradually fades. Its hell loud too!

My car had after market horns too, loud but not loud enough.
So i went to Kmart and bought some Autotechnica air horns.
I kill grannies from 50 metres.LOL
My uncle drives a Mack truck which has an air starter on it. He quite often shuts the engine off at the lights, just so he can start it again. Anybody who has heard one of these things operate would know just how loud they are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1RLUxp3Gpo

Yeah know that noise well.....
The Cat 793 Haul trucks at the mine use an air start, a little louder and longer lasting than the Mack in your post but you'd expect that.... The air start is quite a bit louder than the engine itself.... _________________
