ok so I've bought a 1994 Aristo, originally it is a twin turbo model but this one has had the the engine swapped with a N/A engine do I need a mod plate for it?

I do know a bit about them but I want to learn heaps about them so any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated

Who in the right mind would downgrade the car to an NA & transplant that in, im thinking blown motor and picked up a NA banger for cheap Suprised Nervous

No mod plate needed its 3L capacity for both setups. Please locate a TT halfcut / frontcut and put the rightful motor back in its place Very Happy

yeah that's exactly it the original engine blew, but I'm a P plater so it's the perfect car but when I'm on my opens then I'll get the proper engine put back in,
do you know of anywhere in Brisbane that sells gas struts, I'm getting sick of having to hold up the bonnet and boot everytime haha

I have a set actually.. found them in the box the other day.
You need all 4? I could check them out (make sure they're good) then post em to ya if you want?

Or you can take your existing ones into places to get regassed. I think the spare ones I have have had the treatment done on them already. Most of them won't last 20 years and still hold good pressure. A regular re-gassing every 10 yrs or so is pretty standard for these things.

Just concerns me with the swapover did they change everything over ? Braking setup (ABS) on NA is totally different to the TT setup. Vacuum assist vs nitrogen assist. Pic of the enginebay would be appreciated.

Rusty is onto it for you Very Happy
