thought i would throw this up blokes........
check the pics....been on around the 12 months mark..? have fitted new rear discs today...and noticed these ....when i removed them..!!!
hub eccentric only members.......if you dont want the wheels to fall off...!!!! all the best...nick
....correction young man . the brakes / wheels are about the only thing i have had NO trouble with
to date chappo.... (except sorting the supra 4 pots out )
the rear discs i have just changed only because they were real "thin" worn out so to speak.
( and what a prick of a job getting the OLD discs off the hub !! )
the car did run smooth .....BUT...as you can see , this was a disaster waiting to happen bloke..!!

WOW they must have been made from coke cans melted down on the side of the road somewhere in china.....
Spacers however can be perfectly safe, you just have to but the right ones. http://www.gktech.com.au/categories.asp the ones down the bottom of this page are really good quality in fact pretty much everything gktech do is of the highest quality by all reports. _________________

from all the "googling" i have done since pulling mine off and chucking them out...it is for sure the cheaper universal type or "non eccentric" ones that give peeps problems.
what you have fitted SHOULD be as good as gold. or so they say..?

this whole "hub centric" thing is a beat up
wheels (and wheel spacers) are held in place by friction between the mounting surfaces produced by tightening the wheel nuts to the correct torque.
the reason why the lips on the hubs are used is to centre the wheel when it is put on so that you don't get vibrations from it beaing off centre, this can also be done for aftermarket wheels by using the lil plastic rings (which don't and won't bear any load but get the wheel centered which is all that they need to do)
if you tighten wheels correctly and in the right pattern (star pattern) so that the wheel is centered then you don't need to worry about having "hub centric" spacers.
All that being said, yes you need good quality spacers cause if they crack and break then you are up shit creek. _________________
