Cops, as the title states have always been here time and time again in the modifying scene as the old age saying goes if you drive a certain car expect to have unwanted attention from the law.
Now back in the a few years I have driven different types of cars silvias skylines etc and as you would normally expect you would get pulled over. But moving to the VIP route and getting something a little more big and 4 door and something that "might fly under the radar" I'm yet to see a difference.
So I'm calling out all Aristo owners doesnt matter what state your in as we all have cop problems but wondering on peoples experiences with your toyota arista have you been pulled over? defected? the outcome? I would like this to be a sticky to share your stories with fellow aristo owners around the country

Never been pulled over in the Aristo but the previous owner said he got pulled over all the time. I think 90% of it is down to where you drive and when, being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I never drive it late it at night so that probably has a lot to do with it.
in qld
1st: got blocked in at the skids cops says open the bonnet. looks at it for a sec notes the number plates and walks off. i ask him if he's done .. says yeah its an engine isn't it
2nd: stopped at a weekly meeting spot (a diner) while i was about to exit. guy cop comes gets me to open bonnet. sees shiny intake for the pod (pod still enclosed in stock box) almost hangs off it trying to shake the intake but i have it bolted down in 3 spots. is almost about to let me go when the lady cop jumps out of the car comes to the car and says " its got an intercooler!! he must have cut something!!" i just laughed stood there while they looked all over the front, finally gave me my license, and i cruised off _________________

Aristo = virtual imunity for me, while I had it in Sydney I never even got pulled up for an RBT in 2 odd years. Then since ive moved up here(and I might add the car has gotten a whole lot more angry in this time) i've been pulled for random rbt's but always just rbt they never mention the car. And once for getting a little bit sidways on a wet roundabout, the sideways was entirely unintentional but it was thursday night skid night so the cops were being shitcunts about it, but I got out of it once they new I wasnt a silly young kid and would actually chalenge them on it. Stupid pigs i've been playing at this game longer than they had been out of school..... _________________

Hmmmmm been pulled over 3 times in 3 years.....
Twice by the same cop....too low, $100 fine each no points
third pull over...stuff in front window, front table......$100 and 1 point
Otherwise hardly ever get looked at _________________
So is there any traction on the tyre or is it like throwing a sausage down a hall way
years ago lived in SA.... got pulled over every THREE DAYS..!! lost my licence for 3...6...then 12 MONTHS..!!!!
at the time i drove a "R32 GTR" . the DAY the family was about to head up to the gold coast....
i got pulled over doing ..S.F.A. and they slapped 3 different "canaries" on the frt w/screen..!!
(one was for dirty battery terminals !!! )
i left SA that night at 3AM..took the stickers OFF the screen and drove up to the gold coast.!!
F&$K SA..!!
since owning the "boat" i have been pulled once.! my fault... did not see him...coming though a
round a bout with too much throttle..! ( on my own )..had a good chat...and let me go after checking
under the bonnet... nice bloke..!! love the gold coast !!
don't ever get looked at at all...!
I never once got looked at in my 33 skyline and that had $30k worth of performance mods, Rims with decent Camber and It was loud and Proud as a mild 280rwkw skyline could be Got plenty of speeding fines in it, but never asked to much about the mods on it, also never once defected or impounded and bonnet was popped plenty of times but that was just before the 'Hoon" laws in SA were brought in.
Aristo wasn't on road long enough to get looked at before I pulled it off Doing the big build up so will see what happens after once Im finished But yeah Seriously considering Moving To QLD............FUCK SA and FUCK SAPOL So many Mates of Mine done For stupid things Like Exhausts "LOOKING" to loud , Stock Bov's, Boost Gauges in wrong spot, Height too low based on the Pig's standardised measuring system his 100mm notebook............. Tint to dark but they were just guessing. The SA Open ended Greay area Road laws give SAPOL to much power and they enjoy targetting and harrassing Skylines heaps since the "HOON" laws were brought in.
So i figured out when ya go Cruising Take a Mate with a Skyline and your likely to get away with no defects.
And Whats even more of a Fucking Insult Coppers in Sa seem to only Pick on Imports now the Real HOONS and Mullet Wearing Wanker's in Commies and Fords get away with Everything nowdays in SA it doesn't make sense.

WA here.
Last car I only got pulled over twice, and both were for doing dumb shit in populated areas. My bad.
New car is lower, a little louder and much much more obnoxious, and I've never been pulled over.
Cops will look at it, but assuming I'm driving pretty normally they let me go.
They are no longer cracking down on imports here so that's nice. _________________

I guess that's possible, but if you hear me driving past it's pretty hard to not think it's an import... big fibreglass bodykit sticking out, 'tin'-y pod so heaps of intake noise, intercooler sticking out the front.. This car isn't really fly-under-the-radar style haha >_> _________________

Hi people, I got pulled over once in the night.
Cop came and asked me "were you on the phone? I replied.. No..Phone is my jacket..
Checked my Licence..and asked me..Is this your car? yes..
Then the other Cop walked around my car and asked Me.. how much is this worth to import? ha ha.
Both were looking at the car for 10-15 min... I asked them.. Is there any thing worng?
No.. every things ok..Nice car ..this is the First time for 2 years of driving..apart from Speeding fines
Also went for 3 months suspended Licence too recently.
My beast is alot more noticable than other as on the front of my gaurd i have cut out the centre bottom lip/part when i was installing my FMIC. Rushed job but i dont mind the end result.
(bit different but im sure their are others out their that will disagree.)
Ive had my Beast for about a year now, been pulled over several times for RBT plus the odd RBT stations they have & i have never had one cop ask me anything about my car.
Ive been followed on many occasions by both Undercoveries and Marked cars for a length of time and they just end up over taking me or turning around.
I think at the end of the day if your doing something stupid/noticable on the roads then youll get done if they see you.
& also depending on the copper and what mood he is in if he can be bothered filling paper or whatever. _________________
