I need to organise freight for a 2j but I need to know roughly how much it weighs. Complete motor minus turbo setup, any rough ideas?

Above about 50kg I don't know if it makes too much difference if it's 100kg or 200kg as it needs to be palleted anyway and they'll charge mostly just for that.
I doubt it will come to 300, i'd say closer to 200, esp without turbo setup. It's just block and head, intake plenum and ignitors/ECU.
Oh I guess with water pump, AC, everything too.. hrmm
Still i'd say 250kg, plus what 10kg of pallet? 300 actually isn't that far off!!

Depends how much you're paying for the 2J to begin with, but smartest option is to buy a Aristo halfcut for under 3k local to you and you'll be good to go.

Then sell off leftover bits and you'll be the better for it.....

2J with box easy 300kgs Russ Very Happy

I paid 600 for the 2jzgte, and 100 bucks for a set of new toyota pistons, rods, rod bearings and rings. So im aiming to come out with a brand new motor with single turbo setup for 1500-2000. Which I beleive is winning. I put it down as 200kg coz if it ends up being more and the frieght company notices that, they will just tell me to pay the difference, no biggy. But for 200kg, perth to sydney on a half pallet, $130 through e-go depot to depot, not bad at all.

E-go cheap as chips and i guarantee they'll weigh the fucker at the other end. Be prepared to pay for the extra weight.

Wait what ? $100 for all of those parts i call BS !
