He all, if you dont have the remote switch for this device, is it pointless having Lo settting different to the Hi setting on the Greedy EBC Confused

I have left Lo as stock & Hi with higher boost etc....

But when i change to Hi setting,....& give it, its like at high speed/Rev back firing or something like that!, & a cloud of smoke will boost out (Exhuast obviously) then goes away straight away.

Lo setting mode is completely fine as i have not changed the setting. (Stock boost i presume)

Who can tell me what this means? Car runs sweet as still just wierd that it happens, & funny for the car behind me. Its white smoke im pretty sure,...

Should i just touch the Lo setting mode to what i wanted with the Hi setting mode? and not touch the Hi setting at all unless i invest in the wireless remote or whatever?
(Heard on internet write up that Lo is for the lower boost side of things and the Hi is for higher speeds/revs hench when you get the ebc remote it goes some where to the to steering wheel.

Just wondering what's controlling your fuel?
Are you running a mines or other.
Personally if not I would be very careful running higher than stock boost.

Kanok you are going to Blow that motor up or turbos faster than you can Say BOOST if ya keep this up fella ....Lo boost leave as stock boost IE: 0% on the ebc and For High boost nor more than 14psi like 25% on both turbos other wise run into issues.......... Your playing with something you obviously have no idea about what ya doing!!! Tinkering can sometimes lead to catastrophic failure!!!!!! becareful mate!! Smile if you dont know what ya doing take it to a Dyno Tuner Get a Dyno run with the boost controller set professionally and They can check any issues this may cause and work with you to solve it Dont just Slap on a Ebc Put in some settings and hope for the best!!!! If you really not sure what to do seek professional help ie: mechanic/ Dynotuner. Smile Also the HI/LO Switch is Simply for this to switch from Preset LO boost to Preset HI boost thats it nothing else!!! and NEVER TO BE SWITCHED WHILST ACCELERATING AT THE LIMIT OR BOOSTING DO IT WHILE STATIONERY OR BEFORE IT HITS ITS PRESET LIMIT. IE:- You have LO boost Set to 10psi you are Dragging somone off the lights and You want more boost and Switch to Hi boost setting You can push the switch before you hit 10psi then it will continue to run up to the hi boost setting of 14psi no probs . if you hit the switch Whilst Boosting after the limit you have programmed in it can cause solenoid damage and a variety of other issues. Dude i feel so sorry for your car Razz

Also you dont need to buy a switch Its really easy to make one allya need is some 3.5mm stereo headphone input jack plug and some wire and Momentary switch and you've got ya self a switch. ill try and find the link and tutorial on how to make one its very easy
Very Happy

Speed? If that was the case you would never be able to change down a gear and boot it..

It is most certainly based off revs.. More revs = More air..

2nd turbo comes online around 4200rpm

I believe prespool hits about 3800 or 3900 or so with the main EGV opening at 4.2k

I say 'around' as its supposed to occur at a given point but the ECU gets confused sometimes and/or the signal its trying to read isn't perfectly accurate.
