Hi guys, don't post too often but i'm in need of some help.

I've spent the day trying each and every way to boost the second turbo, every time i take the car for a spin i've been seeing 5psi on the second turbo. MBC open, MBC closed, disconnected ETC.

I feel as though there's something else limiting the boost here, because I've just put everything back together as if it were stock and I am having the same issue. 5psi as she opens the second turbo.

What should I be looking for?

I was hoping to break 1:10 at wakefield by boosting the car before the trackday next week, but now i'm only seeing 5psi @ ~>4000rpm. this is much more of a problem than I thought!
The idea now is to go back to stock.

If it helps, I was using a TurboTech MBC from ebay.
Thanks

Ok, thanks for the tip although i have done a pressure test, checked all vac lines and silicone joiners. All good. Same issue. Seems to be a faulty vsv? I'm done with this for the day. Got 1 more weekend to fix this issue. Is it as easy as bypassing a vsv to resolve the pro lem or.something more? I will electrically check them next weekend. any other tips greatly appreciated.. Even a helping hand next weekend, I'll buy a case of beer Smile

I had a similar problem, only 5 psi on the second turbo. The hose for the EGCV was disconnected. Maybe your VSV for the EGCV is faulty, if your hoses are all plugged in correctly.

Thanks for the help guys.
I've just had another once over with the torch to see if any pipes are blown off.. it all seemed good [I will have a much better look on saturday]

I have an awful feeling like I might have just put a hose on the wrong way :s
trying to chase up some photos of the stock vac lines for reference.

Nick05 - I had a quick check of those 2 short vac lines running up behind against the firewall.. they also seem ok.. starting to scratch my head!

Will bypassing all the valves and switching to true twin mode as per http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/articles/andy.htm solve this 5psi problem or will I still have this issue?

Thanks again..

Best thing to do if you're not sure is to get a standard turb'd aristo and follow theyre piping to a tee.

Only way you'll know for sure and it'll be 110%
