I'm sure this has been asked before but is this stuff any good - does it look good on? Confused

http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl=en&langpair=ja%7Cen&u=http://page14.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s70819028

Also Aaron, what sorta added costs are involved to get it here?

Cheers

There are other ones that are made by an Australian company which can also be found on eBay!
A heap of the Supra guys bought them (group buy) and are more then happy with the look and the way they fit etc...

the thread on the supra forums to read up about them etc is here:
http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=28772

If the people who make them havent got the pattern for the Aristo seats- they'll require someone to take their aristo down so they can measure it up etc... I think they're in Melb!

Check out their website

http://www.autowear.jp/

The company is Japanese but the seat covers are made in Korea.

They ship internationally eg. Australia via EMS for JY6,000

They are all fitted with velcro.

You can get synthetic (PVC) or real leather. Leather is about double the price JY72,450 as opposed to say Deluxe (JY56,700), Point (JY39,900) and Modern (JY48,300). It all depends on your budget and the style you like. You can even get contrasting inserts in blue, yellow or red.

This is a closeup of the Modern style -

This is the Point seat cover in grey -

Hope this helps you. They certainly look very interesting and a fraction of the cost of full leather retrims here (in Sydney at least).

I wonder what the quality is like? They do explain how the seats are made on the website but I think it says the life is only about 3-4 years. The leather is cowhide and 1.2 - 1.4mm thick backed with sewn in cloth.

Cheers,

Peter

I have brought a few pairs of these in Japan for various cars, as there are some good and bad ones, with probably the best out there being from Garson which also have a price tag to go with them but they look great.

As a general rule when fitting these take time and possibly remove the seats from the car to get them to sit right.

These can look like the real deal if fitted correctly and much cheaper then a full retrim.

I have the Clazzio Seat covers which I picked up in Japan and I have to say I was a little skeptic at first but they were a very good fit. No complaints here.

Damn, that's hot!

So, can anyone give me an AUD figure to buy a set? I guess it's another option to buying an arist with leather...

Wow! That's cheaper than a set of used leather trim! I'm guessing that's for PVC not Leather?
