am looking at some R34 gtr wheels, can any one confirm they will fit without any issues
18x9 offset +30

have 17's at the moment and am looking at going into 18's mainly because of the cost of wide rubber for 17's, apparently they arnt a common size any more and decent 255-265 rubber cost a damn fortune Nervous

They fit but you'll need spacers on the rear, when mine were fitted was catching on the rear a tad.

Look ballbusting tho !

Pretty sure it was the rear this was about 5 yrs back. Was catching on something and making some god awful noise when hitting the brakes.

245s had about 4 x R34 sets on me at the time and they all sold in about 3 weeks.

Who told you wide 17's are getting rare and exy. They are more common than 18's and much cheaper. Sure some brands like federal don't go bigger than 255's but plenty others go upto 335's because that's what older porches still use for street/track work.

You'll pay thru the nose for gtr 18's and not the best fitment. Have you looked into supra 17's.

asked at the local b-jane for some info on sizing and what's the biggest i could go on an 8inch, he advised 265 would be a safe size, have 255 at the moment but they are nankangs and are noisy as fck, still plenty of rubber but too noisy, also said that going an 18 inch would give alot more options in tyre sizing, brands and bring the cost down.

have considered supra's and have looked around but nothing out there, might have to look on supra forum, do want to go as wide as possible on the rears so supra's might be the go, and plus i like the oem look hence why i was condering the gtr's.

agreed about the cost of gtr 18's and now that i have confirmation about the fitment issues i wont go there Very Happy

Bob Jane sux man. Trying competition tyres or OTR motorsports for decent tyres at good prices locally.

Nankangs are terrible, they make excellent white smoke and have a long lasting tyre wear rating but no good for getting power down.

You won't always get the best price online, if you're down this side of town check out OTR motorsports on westall rd clayton. They have a wide range of street/track tyres at good prices.

I paid $200 a tyre for 235/45r17 federal 595rsr's fitted. Cheaper than buying from option 1 plus shipping. Kumho ku36 were $220 each in the same size.
